R Madhavan returns to Kollywood with new, beefed-up look

The superstar will finally return to Tamil films after Vettai

R Madhavan is preparing to return to Tamil movies after a break. He will play the protagonist in a movie to be directed by Sudha Kongura of Drohi fame.

“I play a retired boxer in this movie and Los Angeles-based boxers Anthony and Alexander have been training me. I’ve never looked as menacing before”, the actor says. Terming it as a “beefed-up, hot and muscular look,” Maddy says he is happy with the way his body has toned up. “I am eagerly looking forward to shooting for the movie,” he says.

Madhavan, who made a talked about debut with Mani Ratnam’s Alaipayuthe in 2000, was last seen in Tamil in Lingusamy’s Vettai, in which he shared screen space with Arya.
