R Madhavan says no to ‘Vettai’ remake in Hindi

The Jodi Breakers star definitely knows how to say ‘No’. Clearly R Madhavan doesn’t want to repeat himself

The Vettai star was rumoured to have been miffed with the makers for not selecting him as the lead in the Hindi remake of Vettai. But as it turns out, the real story is totally the opposite. Madhavan was offered to play his character in the Hindi remake but he refused. Apparently Maddy had even turned down the offer to star in the remake of the blockbuster 3 Idiots titled Nanban.

But that definitely doesn’t mean that Maddy has signed anything else as yet. “I never said I was doing the film now yaar”, he posted on his blog, adding: “Heyy No folks. I have not confirmed any film now. Have to get my knee treated first and get back in super shape. Then I will decide.” The Hindi remake of Vettai will be the directed by Lingusamy, who helmed the Tamil version as  well. And now he’ll have to go hunting for a lead actor for his venture. Good luck with that
