Rajinikanth: 3D is future of cinema

One of the secrets behind Superstar Rajinikanth ruling the roost in Kollywood for more than three decades must surely be his urge to keep himself updated on the latest technologies

Legendary actor Rajinikanth, who played a robot in his last flick Enthiran, said on Monday that 3D technology will be the future of cinema.He was speaking at the trailer launch of the 3D version of his blockbuster movie Sivaji, in Chennai. “3D is going to be the future of film industry. I would like my films Enthiran and Padayappa to be converted into 3D,” he said.

It’s a well known fact that the Superstar’s forthcoming film Kochadaiyaan, directed by his daughter Soundarya R Ashwin is being made in 3D, using performance capturing technology. Rajini thanked AVM Productions and Prasad Labs for converting Sivaji to 3D and said the film, which will soon hit the theatres is a gift to his fans.
