South superstar Ram Charan Teja who recently engaged Upasana Kamineni confirms his Bollywood debut
The young actor of Telugu cinema will be reprising legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan’s role in the Zanjeer remake.Zanjeer is the same movie which catapulted Amitabh Bachchan to superstardom. Now the south actor heads to Mumbai to remake 1973 hit film, which had also given Big B the ‘Angry Young Man’ tag. This is the first time Ram Charan will be essaying the character of a cop. The film, to be produced by Reliance, will be simultaneously remade in Hindi and Telugu. The Zanjeer remake will be made on a majestic budget of about Rs 70 crore. Director Apoorva Lakhia of Shootout at Lokhandwala fame may wield the megaphone for the project, which is expected to go on the floors in April 2012.
