The film is touted to be an important one in her career
She’s only a couple of years old in the industry, having done a Telugu film, Prasthanam before signing up for director Mugil’s Kandein in Tamil. May 20 is a big day for Rashmi Gautam as Kandein, an important milestone in her career, is releasing in Tamil Nadu.
Says Rashmi, “I was spotted by Sangeetha at a dance reality show on TV. That’s how Kandein happened. While it has been a learning experience, it has also been a difficult job, mainly because of the language. Since there are a few similarities between Tamil and Telugu, it was a bit easy. I do understand Tamil and was really taken up with my character when Mugil narrated the story. Mugil is a real taskmaster, but that has helped me to bring out my best. I am confident that the film will do well.”
Rashmi has kept other offers at bay, pending the outcome of Kandein in which she acts opposite Shantanoo.
