The veteran Tamil actor died of multiple organ failure
Popular Tamil actor Ravichandran passed away Monday, July 25. He had several health problems and had been admitted to a hospital in Chennai. The actor succumbed to lung infection and kidney failure. Ravichandran’s first film, Kaadhalikka Neramillai (1964), was a superhit. He went on to star in other hits like Adhey Kangal and Utharavindri Ullevaa. He also worked with superstar Rajinikanth in Arunachalam (1997). Ravichandran turned director to launch his son Hamsavardhan in 2005. The actor is survived by wife Vimla, daughter Lavanya and sons Balaji and Hamsavardhan. He was earlier married to Malayalam actor Sheela.
