He was in the city for the audio launch of Wanted action director’s film
In a city where Hindi stars are just names, while Tamil artists have temples built in their name, Salman Khan is the only Bollywood actor who has managed to impress the residents of Chennai. The actor attended the music launch of the Tamil movie Markandeya in Chennai recently and caused quite a stir.
For a movie starring newcomers, Sabarish and Pinky, Markandeya had one of the biggest audio launches seen in Tamil cinema. Sabarish is the son of FEFSI Vijayan who is a senior stunt choreographer in the industry and who is producing and directing Markandeya.
Salman Khan has earlier worked with Vijayan in Wanted and Dabangg and is grateful as both the movies became superhit because of the great action quotient. In fact, Khan reached Chennai in a special chartered flight from Patiala where he is shooting and left the city immediately after the launch. “It gives me immense pleasure to be here for the audio launch. Vijayan sir is not just a stunt master but also a great human being. I am happy and thrilled to be at the event,” Salman said.
Apart from Salman, Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay, Jayam Ravi and Shriya Saran also graced the event. While Sallu enchanted the star-studded audience with his jovial mannerisms, Jayam Ravi took the opportunity to compliment him on his cool and down-to-earth demeanor. The Bollywood superstar was also seen exchanging a few laughs with Vijay, who received the first copy of the audio from Salman Khan. He later said, “I saw the trailers and songs. I am impressed. It is good and gracious on the part of Salman to attend the event”.
