Ajith’s wife has categorically stated that she is happy being a homemaker

She was the adorable child of Malayalam movies in the 1980s and the reigning queen of southern cinema in the 1990s. When she vanished and then reappeared, her fans eagerly welcomed her. But Shalini has now stated that she won’t be making another comeback. After giving hits such as Aniyathi Pravu, Niram and the evergreen Alaipayuthey, she settled into marital bliss with Ajith. As buzz about her comeback gained momentum, Shalini has come forward to end all speculation. “I have made a conscious decision not to act after marrying Ajith. I am happy with my married life and busy taking care of our daughter Anoushka. There is no question of donning the grease paint again,” she says. Heaping laurels on her husband, Shalini says, “Ajith is a gem of a person. He is so down-to-earth and his helping nature is something everyone should follow. All that I want is to make Anoushka like her father.” On her spouse’s forthcoming film Mankatha, she says, “I am waiting with much expectation since it is the 50th film of Ajith. I hope that the movie would make everyone happy, from Ajith to his fans to the producer to the director.”
