Siddharth banned after ’180′ tweet

Mediapersons’ association has banned the actor after he made ‘derogatory remarks’ about a TV programme on a microblogging site

Siddharth has often complained about the media doing false speculative stories about him. But now it is he who is in trouble with the media – all thanks to a remark he made on Twitter. The Film Newscasters’ Association of Electronic Media has banned Siddharth for a negative remark he tweeted about a programme on a Telugu news channel which criticised his recent release, 180 “… 3rd grade News channels will sell their families to make up an hour of TV. Clarifying their garbage & lies is not worth our time. Ignore!” he wrote on the micro-blogging website. And the media retaliated by promptly walking out of the 180 press meet just as Siddharth stood up to speak. Maybe, Sid needs to take media management lessons from his Rang De Basanti co-star Aamir Khan, who continues to be the darling of mediapersons in spite of satirising them in Peepli [Live].

Maybe, Sid needs to take media management lessons from his ‘Rang de Basanti’ co-star Aamir Khan who continues to be the darling of television despite producing a caustic movie (Peepli Live) about the weird ways that television channels chase news.
