Siddharth’s toughest yet: period film Kaaviya Thalaivan

The movie, based on renowned singing duo SG Kittappa and KB Sundarambal, will have music by AR Rahman

Actor Siddharth is a busy man down South these days. In Tamil, his Udhayam NH4 released recently and he is awaiting the release of Sundar C’s Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (Something Something in Telugu). Now, he is gearing up for the Tamil-Telugu bilingual period-romance Kaaviya Thalaivan to be helmed by National Award-winning director Vasanthabalan. Siddharth feels it’s going to be the toughest project of his career so far.

He wrote on Twitter: ‘Getting into pre-production tomorrow for my most difficult film yet. Vasanthabalan’s Kaaviya Thalaivan. It’s going to be a special journey.’ According to sources, the film is based on the relationship between the renowned singing duo of SG Kittappa and KB Sundarambal. It is said that the director has focussed on the love between the two legends and will bring it to the big screen.

AR Rahman will be scoring the music for this music-based film and Nirav Shah will be cranking the camera. The team is said to be on the lookout for the heroine and the rest of the cast.Subscribe to me on YouTube
