Sridevi in Kamal Haasan’s Drishyam remake?

The English Vinglish star has not been approached for role of Kamal Haasan’s wife. Find out what’s Sridevi’s part in the film!

After striking gold at box office with her comeback film English Vinglish, Sridevi has been mum for quite sometime now. Only a month ago news broke that Mr India beauty would be returning back to her roots with Illaya Thalapathy Vijay’s 58th film. Now we hear that she might be seen in Tamil version of Drishyam sharing screen with veteran Kamal Haasan.

A source revealed that the makers have approached Sridevi to play a cop who has substantial role in the film. Her husband Boney Kapoor seems to be impressed with the script and is said to be encouraging Chalbaaz actor to take up the role. Sridevi is yet to give her nod yet. If the English Vinglish diva signs the film, then it would be the first time after three decades that the memorable pair will be seen in the same film.

There were rumours that Sridevi was at loggerheads with veteran actor Kamal Haasan after their critically acclaimed film Moondram Pirai in 1982. So will Arjun Kapoor’s step mom bury the hatchet with Viswaroopam star? As of now the makers of Drishyam remake are surrounded by more pressing matters with legal notices flying left, right and centre with every passing day.
