Suresh Gopi to rescue Major Ravi’s ‘Raksha’

The actor is going to help his good friend reclaim his lost glory in Mollywood

When your patented recipe fails, what do you do? You search for a new ingredient that will make it all better. This is exactly what Major Ravi seems to be doing. The director, who has given superhit war films like Keerthichakra and Kurukshetra with Mohanlal and Mission 90 Days with Mammootty, has now decided to make a movie with Suresh Gopi. The film, titled Raksha, is an action film and is expected to go on floors next week in New Delhi. Buzz is that Suresh Gopi has even given Ravi priority dates.

It’s not surprising that the director is working with the star, since things haven’t really been going well for Major Ravi. Though he has had some success at the Mollywood box office, the industry still doesn’t consider him completely bankable. That was only compounded by the fact that his last film Kandahar tanked at the box office. Major Ravi had earlier announced that he would do a film with Prithviraj and Parvathi Omanakuttan but the film never happened. Then came reports of a film with Mohanlal based on the 26/11 Mumbai attacks but that too got stalled. Hopefully, this one will work well for him.
