Suriya and Shruti Haasan to sing in Chinese?

Their film 7aam Arivu, set in China, will have a Mandarin number composed by Harris Jayaraj

Director AR Murugadoss’ 7aam Arivu is a much anticipated film for various reasons. It marks the debut of Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan in Kollywood. This Suriya-starrer revolves around the character of a Buddhist monk and is set in China.

Music composer Harris Jayaraj, known for innovation and uniqueness depending on the theme of the film, has recorded a Chinese song for the film, voiced by Mandarin singer Hau. Sources say Hau has given splendid vocals and tried to sing in Tamil as well. Since a portion of the film dates 2,000 years ago, the song is said to be featured in that era.
