Pannu will not play Tanu in the Telugu version
Sultry Tapasee Pannu has made it clear that she is not a part of the Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster Tanu Weds Manu. There were reports that the glamorous Punjabi kudi will essay the lead role of Tanu played by Kangna Ranaut in the original.
The role is that of a rebellious small-town smarty who only believes in love marriages and is completely reckless in life. Sources close to the actor revealed that Tapasee quite liked the role, given that it had a bit of her in real life. However, lack of dates made her decide to give up the offer. Tapasee is busy with Jiiva-starrer Vanthaan Vendraan and Telugu flick Mogudu apart from a yet-to-start Bollywood project. Meanwhile, the Telugu version of Tanu Weds Manu will have Sunil playing Manu (played by R Madhavan in Hindi) and it will be directed by Devi Prasad for the Mega Super Good Movies banner.
