‘Theni Mavattam’ actor’s rash driving injures four

Tamil actor Sriranjan alias Suresh, who played the lead role in the recently released film Theni Maavattam, was arrested for careless driving

Suresh’s car knocked down three vehicles, seriously injuring about four people, including a police officer.The incident took place on Sunday on the arterial Poonamallee High road in Chennai, when the actor was returning from the shoot of his upcoming film. According to the  police, Sriranjan had dozed off at the wheel and lost control of the vehicle when the incident occurred. He was arrested by Anna Square Traffic police for rash and negligent driving and causing injury.

The police have a registered case against him under IPC Sections 279 (rash driving), 337 (endangering life), 338 (causing grievous hurt by endangering life or personal safety of others). Tch…Tch!
