Tollywood calling for Mithun Chakraborty

The seasoned actor will reprise his role of a cunning godman from Oh My God! in theTelugu remake

It is a well known fact that the Bollywood hit film Oh My God! is being remade into Telugu with Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan in the lead roles.  The entire Tollywood was buzzing yesterday with the news of Shriya Saran playing the female lead of the film. Now the little birdie tells us that the Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty who played the role of cunning saint in the Hindi version of OMG, has been roped into play  the same character in OMG! Telegu remake.

Mithun Chakraborty fondly called as Mithun Da  was widely appreciated by the people and critics alike for his antogonist role in Oh My God. While Venkatesh will be playing the lead character, Shriya Saran will be the wife of Venkatesh and mother of two children in the film. The super popular power star Pawan Kalyan will wield the flute as he is set to reprise the role of Lord Krishna.

OMG! remake will mark the entry of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty into Tollywood and the actor is expected to join the sets soon. Directed by Kishore Pardasani, the film which is tentatively titled as Daiva Daivam Bhaje is based on a Gujarati play.

With Mithun’s inclusion into the already starry cast, the Telugu remake of OMG! is certainly gaining steam.
