Legendary Mollywood actor Thilakan, who is a popular face in Kollywood as well, has been hospitalised in Thrissur following neurological problems
The seasoned actor was admitted to the PK Das Institute of Medical Sciences (PKDIMS), Vaniyamkulam last week, after he complained of uneasiness. On Tuesday, Thilakan was referred to Jubilee Hospital for better care. A team of doctors is monitoring his health. One of the doctors in the hospital’s neurology department said the coordination of the muscular movements of the mouth and tongue of the artiste had been affected, causing difficulty in speech. Hospital sources inform that Thilakan had suffered a stroke some time back.
Thilakan started his career in acting as a theatre artist. He ventured into full-time acting in theatre after leaving intermediate college mid-way in the year 1956. He was part of many Malayalam and Tamil movies.
