Vijay, happy birthday!

Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar aka Vijay – the Tamil star born on June 22, 1974, is celebrating his birthday in style today

Vijay started the day with blessings from his parents, SA Chandrasekaran and Shoba, and went straight to the Government Children’s Hospital at Egmore where he distributed gifts to new born babies. The Thuppakki actor, who turn 38 today also took part in a function organised by his fans club,Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, and gave away financial assistance to underprivileged people. Members of the club have made elaborate arrangements all over Tamil Nadu to celebrate the birthday of their matinee idol. Blood donation camps have been arranged in association with hospitals and other welfare organisations.

On the work front, the actor is busy shooting for Thuppakki, directed by A R Murugadoss. Touted as an action entertainer, the movie is expected to hit screens on Independence Day.
