Hard-nosed realists like us have always looked upon mushy couples as attention-seekers who resort to cheesy romantic escapades like wearing the same clothes, only to be the centre of attraction

But honestly, we were pretty surprised to discover that we didn’t feel like turning our noses up when we saw Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, the onscreen couple in Ishaqzaade, strutting around in the same clothes in the movie. They look simply happy to be each other’s arm-candy. Usually the act of couples flaunting the same clothes seems like a desperate attempt to seek attention, but Arjun and Parineeti have portrayed the whole thing so beautifully without making it look like they are shouting from the rooftops. They are seen wearing similar striped patterned clothes in the promo of Ishaqzaade. And it was quite ironical when we spotted these two turn to something so corny, ‘coz they look like such hardcore brats in the promos.

Also remember Sonam Kapoor and Sameer Dattani donned similar coloured outfits in I Hate Luv Storys. They played this infuriatingly romantic couple who would colour coordinate everything, from their clothes to the flowers that would match their clothes. We are glad Arjun and Pari weren’t stereotyped as a lovey-dovey couple in Ishaqzaade. They look real and the fun-loving sort, the sort you would want to relate to. All we can say is, we wouldn’t blame you if you feel a sudden urge to rush to your tailor and get something stitched for you and your partner, pronto!
