Neha Dhupia: What I wear depends on how I feel

Sometimes she dazzles in a funky dress and other times she goes classy in a feminine gown. Yet the curvy babe makes great style statements on the red carpet almost every time. Neha Dhupia shares her fashion secrets

Do you have a stylist to dress you for red carpet events and public appearances?
No, I have a friend, Chola, who helps me with clothes. She’s tells me what works and what doesn’t. The other person is my mum. She will tell me if I look good or I don’t. I use a lot of personal clothes and accessories. What I wear depends on how I feel that day.

Who are you favourite designers?
Among the international names I like Paco Rabanne and Stella McCartney. I like Victoria Beckham for the clean and simple cuts and Diane von Furstenberg (DVF), ‘coz they make very feminine clothes. Of Indian designers I like Gaurav Gupta, Anamika Khanna, Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Rohit Bal.

What would you rather wear – a sari or a gown?
A gown. But on second thought, I’d actually wear a sari. I wore only saris in my next film, Maximum. I quite enjoyed dressing up in them.

The one outfit you would never step out in
You will never catch me in bell bottoms.

Your all-time favourite attire
Well-fitted jeans and white shirt – you can never go wrong with that.
