We may have issues with kids acting and dancing like adults onscreen, but small people walking the ramp like stylish grownups makes for a sight that’s sure to melt your heart and make you want more…

These tiny tots set the stage on fire at the recent India Kids Fashion Week.  Witnessing all the chaos and clamour, we could imagine how difficult it must be for the designers to handle these little pranksters and make them synchronize with the music on stage. Just when we were waiting to attend one such show at the event we spotted actor Tanisha Mukherjee trying to enter the venue despite the guards asking her not to. Flaunting her celeb-status (however dormant it may be at the moment), she got in and thanked her stars rather audibly – that she didn’t have to wait with the common man (aam aadmi), we presume. So different from her better behaved elder sister Kajol, wethought! As Payal Singhal’s show started, the eye-candy walked in, one after the other, cat walking to a mash-up of several kiddie songs. These cute small versions of skinny glamorous models displayed the Spring-Summer flowergirl collection of clothes. Classy churidars and ruffled frocks for the gorgeous girls and sherwanis teamed with funky pyjamas for the macho young lads, the outfits couldn’t look sexier. Bows, bling, hearts and flowers, subtle colours; it was an absolute visual treat. The parents looked amazingly delighted and rebuked whoever came in the way while they took pictures of their glamorous sons and daughters. The show ended with a bang with Maria Goretti walking the ramp with her little ones. Husband Arshad Warsi was nowhere in sight to cheer on gorgeous wife, who flaunted a full sleeved tulle anarkali and was her usual cheerfully chirpy self on the ramp. Critics may not be very happy with the event and are trying their best to play rabble-rousers at the moment, but we think it’s just fine to be a fashion lover (at whatever age) and, as long as the innocence is intact, who are we to question these small divas and their parents showing off a little oo-la-la factor!
