With focus on Italian, French and Afghanistan cinema and restored classics, this year’s MFF will showcase 200 films from 65 countries

The 14th Mumbai Film Festival (MFF) that will be held from October 18-25, 2012, has an interesting line-up of films. Taking a cue from the response received to The Artist last year (before it won the Oscar), there is a tribute to silent films at this year’s MFF. But all the silent movies will be Indian as part of the Celebration of 100 years of Indian cinema. This year, the MFF’s focus is on Italian cinema and French films.
