Arya Babbar’s wedding postponed owing to grandfather’s death

Aarya Babbar was all set to marry his longtime girlfriend Shrishti Nayyar this Saturday (December 8) in Udaipur, but the wedding now stands postponed as Aarya’s grandfather, Kushal Kumar Babbar has passed away. The Babbar family is said to have booked all the major luxurious properties including some huge palaces in and around Jaipur for the wedding. A galaxy of B-town stars, politicians and business honchos were expected to fly down to the city for the marriage ceremony and reception. Preparations for the celebrations were in full swing, till this unexpected tragedy struck the Babbar family. Our condolences.

What was initially supposed to be an ‘erotic thriller’ by Vikram Bhatt, was changed to ‘suspense thriller’ the moment Karisma Kapur (spelt as Kapoor in the credits) came on board. People may or may not like his films, but Vikram is one of the few filmmakers who has been constantly churning out thrillers. In Dangerous Ishhq, he has upped the ante, especially because it is Karisma’s comeback film. She was last seen dancing with Shahrukh Khan in the Deewangi song in Om Shanti Om. Any Bollywood actor would envy the guy who has been paired with supermodel Candice Boucher, in his very first film, but there is more to it than just the arm candy

Though Arya Babbar made his Bollywood debut in 2002 as a lead actor in Ab Ke Baras, which tanked at the BO, he has been content doing roles which are far away from the lead roles which he might like. Despite his filmi lineage and the fact that he is a decent actor (we heard so from those in the theatre circuit) he has been playing side characters for a very long time, which mostly go unnoticed.
