‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ box office banks upon Valentine’s Day

After enjoying a decent start at the box office, the Imran Khan-Kareena Kapoor romantic flick is looking forward to making the most of Valentine’s Day on February 14

According to box office reports of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, it opened with a lukewarm response, netting only Rs 5 crore on Friday. ‘Agneepath’ earns USD3.2 mn at overseas box office

Producer Karan Johar is “ecstatic” with the global collections

After a record opening in the domestic market, filmmaker Karan Johar’s Agneepath has tasted success in the overseas market by earning USD3.2 million (Rs 160 million) since it opened January 26. Eros International released the Hrithik Roshan-starrer on 337 screens worldwide. The film, directed by debutant Karan Malhotra, grossed 347,000 pounds in Britain in the first four days. In the US, the four-day collections were USD1.3 million and in the UAE, Agneepath collected more than $800,000. Click here to read more

Agneepath crosses RA.One’s record by a big margin and achieves the biggest opening weekend record

The year has begun on a great note for B-town as its first big release, Agneepath has managed to break all records at the box office. The film has earned approximately Rs 65 crore in its opening weekend (first three full days – Thursday, Friday and Saturday – are considered the opening weekend), surpassing the record previously set by Shahrukh Khan’s Ra.One at Rs 52.93 crore. Hrithik Roshan beats Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan as his film earns Rs 23 crore on the first day

Karan Johar’s Agneepath has grossed approximately Rs 23 crore on its opening day, beating the record for the biggest opening collections previously set by Salman Khan with Bodyguard.
