The yummy mummy will be back in action on celluloid, but apparently not in Bollywood…or will she?
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – who is enjoying motherhood right now – will soon be back to the silver screen, we hear. But she seems to have given her home industry Bollywood a miss. Sources say the elegant diva has been approached to act in his Hollywood film starring actor Billy Zane (who played Kate Winslet’s fiancé in Titanic). Click here to read more
While new mummy Lara is almost back to being yummy, Ash seems to be in no hurry to lose her baby fat five months after her daughter was born
It comes as a shocking contrast. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had her baby five months ago and is reportedly busy enjoying every moment of motherhood, feeding Beti B – whose name, by the way, has still not been officially announced, though ‘Aaradhya’ is her registered moniker, we have heard all about changing nappies, making discreet appearances at various social dos and, at long last, getting back to her professional duties with a long pre-arranged date in Dubai. This comes out of the blue for most of us, but it is great news for the actor and his director biwi, who have been trying to have a child for a while now
Super-actor Aamir Khan has been a producer for a while now, while his wife Kiran Rao has launched into her career as a director. The two have worked together and come up with a delightful film, Dhobi Ghat, which won kudos from a wide audience. And now their latest collaboration has finally become reality – on December 1, Aamir and Kiran became parents to a baby boy, via a surrogate mother using IVF at a private clinic in Mumbai. This was done apparently because Kiran had some health issues to deal with, and had suffered a miscarriage in 2009, as Aamir told the world, “I have bad news folks. Kiran and I lost our baby. Despite our best efforts we were unable to avert a miscarriage. The last two months have been a struggle for us and that is one of the reasons I was absent from the blog in more ways than one. I need time to heal. I will be away for a while.” The happy news was announced in a daily and tweeted by director Kunal Kohli, who said this morning, “Congrats Aamir and Kiran. Lots of love to you and your lil baby boy. So so happy for all 3 of you.” Click here to read more
The two warring families seem to have finally buried the hatchet and forgiven each other after the arrival of darling Beti B
They say a baby mends fences between the worst enemies. We didn’t really put much stock in it till we actually saw it happen with our own eyes. Beti B has done what the Bachchans and Kapoors hadn’t managed to do on their own for several years – convince both sides to forget and forgive the past. Click here to read more
Actor? Model? Or something else altogether? What can Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan’s darling daughter choose to become?
We think the best thing that new parents Abhishek Bachchan and wifey Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s baby girl can do for herself is not become an actor. Yes, with parents and grandparents in the field, she’ll just be compared to them and have to work really hard to get a chance to prove herself at her own pace and for her own abilities. Abhishek has been dealing with that burden for years now, usually not with any degree of success. For the same reasons, she’ll do better if she doesn’t become a model either, since living up to her mum’s rep will take some doing. So what can she do with her life, careerwise, we mean? Here are our suggestions: Click here to read more
The new ‘Dadaji’ has dug out lines written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan for his baby granddaughter
Amitabh Bachchan is obviously overwhelmed with the little one in his arms, as seen in the picture published by Rediff.com. He is delighted with bahu Aishwarya and beta Abhishek’s first baby and is blogging and tweeting about it everyday. The actor, who quotes suitable lines written by his famous poet dad at every given opportunity, or should we say, occasion, has chosen some special words for his baby grandchild which were written when he was born. Says he on his blog, “She is home ! And nothing could give us all greater joy and happiness .. There is so much to say and so much emotion, but I think excerpts from my Fathers poem, written at the time I was born, say enough !” Here is the poem by the late Harivansh Rai Bachchan shared by Big B on his blog, dedicated to Beti B, in Hindi Click here to read more
Amitabh Bachchan says thank you to his ‘extended family’ for being so alert and finding the pictures on the Internet
Amitabh Bachchan has thanked his extended family (EF) for finding the original morphed image of his new-born granddaughter’s picture. His daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai gave birth to her and husband Abhishek’s first child November 16. The Bachchans shared the news on Twitter, but refused to post the baby’s picture on-line, saying it is a private matter. Meanwhile, someone posted a morphed picture of the baby on the net. “Ladies and gentlemen of the EF world, I present to you the picture being circulated and below that, the original from where the morphing was done. A smart piece of work!! Not the morphing. The diligence of our EF team,” Big B posted on his blog.“I have to say that the EF was incredibly smart! How on earth were they able to search for the original beats me. Well done dearest ones !!” he added. Click here to read more
