Super-actor Aamir Khan has been a producer for a while now, while his wife Kiran Rao has launched into her career as a director. The two have worked together and come up with a delightful film, Dhobi Ghat, which won kudos from a wide audience. And now their latest collaboration has finally become reality – on December 1, Aamir and Kiran became parents to a baby boy, via a surrogate mother using IVF at a private clinic in Mumbai. This was done apparently because Kiran had some health issues to deal with, and had suffered a miscarriage in 2009, as Aamir told the world, “I have bad news folks. Kiran and I lost our baby. Despite our best efforts we were unable to avert a miscarriage. The last two months have been a struggle for us and that is one of the reasons I was absent from the blog in more ways than one. I need time to heal. I will be away for a while.” The happy news was announced in a daily and tweeted by director Kunal Kohli, who said this morning, “Congrats Aamir and Kiran. Amitabh Bachchan says thank you to his ‘extended family’ for being so alert and finding the pictures on the Internet
Amitabh Bachchan has thanked his extended family (EF) for finding the original morphed image of his new-born granddaughter’s picture. His daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai gave birth to her and husband Abhishek’s first child November 16. The Bachchans shared the news on Twitter, but refused to post the baby’s picture on-line, saying it is a private matter. Meanwhile, someone posted a morphed picture of the baby on the net. “Ladies and gentlemen of the EF world, I present to you the picture being circulated and below that, the original from where the morphing was done. A smart piece of work!! Not the morphing. The diligence of our EF team,” Big B posted on his blog.“I have to say that the EF was incredibly smart!
