Producer Kumar Mangat is planning the sequel of the 2006 hit film, but will it be as highly appreciated as the original?

Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara won three National Awards, numerous popular awards and loads of critical acclaim. Based on William Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Othello, this film was the highest grosser of the year 2006. The ensemble cast comprised fine talents including Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vivek Oberoi, Kareena Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah. Five years after its release Kumar Mangat, the producer of the film, has announced that he’s planning the sequel to Omkara and feels that the new film has tremendous prospects.
