Directed by Vikas Bahl and Nitesh Tiwari and enacted by a bunch of wonderful kids, Chillar Party was a surprise hit. It also went on to win the National Award for Best Children’s Film. The film shot to limelight when the Ranbir Kapoor item song ‘Tai tai phiss’ was released and it became bigger when Salman Khan agreed to co-produce it. The publicity budget went up and so did the PR  activities. It did help that it was a well made film with its heart in the right place. The buzz doing the rounds is that the makers are planning a sequel to the film. The kids had taken on a politician and managed to save their friend and his pet in the first one.
