‘Rockstar’ might win big at Apsara Awards, too!

Ranbir Kapoor’s film Rockstar leads the Apsara Award nominations, followed by The Dirty Picture and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Rockstar has topped the nomination list of the Chevrolet Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards 2012 with 13 nods, with its lead actor Ranbir Kapoor competing with the likes of Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan for the best actor honour for the film. Also competing in the best actor category are Emraan Hashmi for Murder 2 and Ajay Devgn for the blockbuster Singham. In terms of overall nominations, The Dirty Picture and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara are at par with nine nods each. Click here to read more

Even as she gets set to shoot her new film with Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif refutes reports that Sorry Bhai and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan are alike

The collective presence of Imran Khan, Ali Zafar and Katrina Kaif on various TV shows, events and promotional tours has been overwhelming – after all, the trio is working overtime to make sure that there is plenty of noise being made for their new film, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan that releases this week. It has already made waves with the rockstar avatar Katrina has in the song Dhunki, and with Imran’s tribute to big stars like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan in the title song. But whether Dhunki will be able to replace the image that Sheila created in the audience’s mind, is something we wait to find out.
