Aishwarya will return to work when she feels like it, says Abhishek Bachchan
The doting husband says Aishwarya is happy playing mom to Beti B
Actor Abhishek Bachchan says his actor wife Aishwarya Rai is happy playing mother to their three-and-half-month-old daughter and would return to work when she feels like doing so. Meanwhile the actor is keen to work in films inspired by plays by young writers. “As and when she wants to come back, is completely her decision… as and when she decides, when she sees a script she is inspired by – the decision is entirely hers. Currently she is very happy doing what she is doing,” the 36-year-old said at the launch of Sorabh Pant’s book The Wednesday Soul. The Bachchan family is yet to announce the name of Beti B. Finally Karan Johar gives the green signal to Dostana 2! The sequel of the original romcom went through a lot of changes and has been dogged by speculation since 2008. Why this delay? What went on?
Bollywood is raining sequels, and Dostana couldn’t be left far behind, since we heard noises about it since the movie’s success in 2008. But the delay in finalising the script for a new version and possibilities for the cast led to speculations galore. So what took so long? Apparently Karan Johar wasn’t satisfied with the scripts Tarun Mansukhani was writing. KJo wanted the magic of the original film to be doubled and so he kept pushing for the best. We’ve heard that KJo even told Tarun to take ‘all the time’ he needed. And it looks like Tarun took this request pretty seriously. In a recent television interview, Mahesh Bhatt revealed that John Abraham has no time for him. The filmmaker is upset that the Force actor hasn’t responded to his requests even for a script-reading. Now the script in question here happens to be the sequel of the same film, Jism, which changed John’s luck in the industry. Remember, it was senior Bhatt who gave John his much needed break when he was just out of the modeling industry, looking for a film to launch his career on Bollywood.
