Garam Masala girl Neetu Chandra seems to be getting very close to Rockstar director Imtiaz Ali. The actor specially invited Imtiaz for the premiere of her Bhojpuri production Deswa, and Imtiaz immediately agreed to attend the same. Apparently, Imtiaz was mobbed and was asked many questions about his latest hit Rockstar. Akshay Kumar and John Abraham’s first outing together, Garam Masala, was a decent hit and now we heard that Desi Boyz, even with an ‘A’ certificate, has managed to collect a net Rs 9cr on the first day. On Saturday, the collections went up slightly to Rs 9.25cr. The collections on Sunday were Rs 10cr, taking the 3-day total to Rs 28.25cr, managing to achieve footfalls not just in multiplexes but single screens as well. John Abraham’s expressionless face and Akshay Kumar’s slapstick humour together don’t exactly make for a great combination. The promo of Desi Boyz is now out and, as expected, the two aren’t doing much apart from flexing their muscles and flashing those pearlies. The dynamic jodi of Akshay Kumar and John Abraham will be seen again in Rohit Dhawan’s directorial debut, Desi Boyz. Both the actors were earlier seen together in Priyadarshan’s Garam Masala. The trailer of Desi Boyz will be unveiled with Mausam. Akshay tweets about the film, “The first trailer of Desi Boyz is now postponed to 23rd Sept along with Mausam. Rocco & Hunter are on their way ;)” Akshay’s character in the film is called Rocco while John will be called Hunter. Desi Boyz also stars Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh in lead roles. The film is slated to release on November 25, this year.
