Yash Raj Films next release Ishaqzaade has managed to arouse a lot of curiosity, thanks to its lead couple comprising Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra [Watch trailer]. The fresh pairing and the theme of the film has created some hype around it. While Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Parineeti was seen in a much-loved supporting role in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun makes his debut in Ishaqzaade. The story of the film goes something like this: Rising from the ashes of hooliganism and small town clan wars, comes the love story of a passion ignited by hatred. Of two people. Born to hate. Destined to love. One kingdom. One throne. Two wild animals… unpredictable Parma… ferocious Zoya. A battle… deafened by sounds of hate, revenge, bullets and deceit. A story… about two fiery bloods (played by Arjun and Parineeti), and their fight for power and supremacy. A story about love brewing in a small town burning with hatred. Remember the movie The Truman Show starring Jim Carrey as the title character? It’s about a cheery guy who’s oblivious of the fact that every move of his is being shot and converted into a hugely popular TV series. Truman not being privy to the secret plan was probably one of the reasons why the entertainment quotient of the show was so high. As yet another reality show – Khan Sisters – unfolds on TV, we wonder if applying the same strategy on our actors will help improve the quality of our Indian reality shows.
