Jaspal Bhatti cremated in Chandigarh

Hundreds of mourners from diverse fields gathered to pay their last respects to the famous comedian, actor and satirist Jaspal Bhatti, who died in a road accident near Punjab’s Nakodar town on Thursday evening (October 25). Jaspal’s pyre was lit by his son Jasraj, who was also injured in the same accident but was discharged from the hospital in the afternoon. The 57 -year-old comedian’s son lost control of the Honda Accord that he was driving and the car crashed into a tree along the highway. The incident happened during the wee hours of Thursday morning when the duo was on their way to Jalandhar (along with the leading lady of their film) for the promotion of his forthcoming movie Power Cut. Bhatti entertained audiences with his popular television shows like Ulta-Pulta and Flop Show in the ’80s and ’90s. He also appeared in several Hindi and Punjabi films. Click here to read more
