The maiden episode of Aamir Khan’s first ever TV show, Satyamev Jayate that aired on Star Plus on Sunday, May 6, fetched rave reviews on social networking site Twitter, occupying the “top five trends” slot. Even before Aamir could wrap up the episode, which focussed on female foeticide, 2,254 tweets were notched up. From Bollywood celebs to journalists to the person on the street, and activists like Kiran Bedi, all gave the show the thumbs up. Satyamev Jayate was also trending on Facebook.
