Though the makers of the film and the actors in it are tight-lipped about the story, the fact remains that Priyanka Chopra was originally invited to do a traditional mujra in Agent Vinod. Agent Vinod is Saif Ali Khan’s baby. The Nawab of Pataudi turned producer because he always wanted to do a film of this scale. We heard that the director of the film Sriram Raghavan was keen to have a classical mujra in Agent Vinod and his first choice to do the number was Priyanka Chopra. Dancing for the special number in Agent Vinod left Bebo exhausted and bruised
Kareena Kapoor, who recently shot for a mujra for beau Saif Ali Khan’s production Agent Vinod didn’t have the best time during its filming. “I want to kill Saif! I wrapped up the song in 21 hours flat and now I’m sighing over my bruised hands and feet,” she said. The thing is that Bebo had no time for rehearsals and Saif hurried the director to get it shot quickly because he new that Bebo didn’t have dates later. Kareena Kapoor may not be a trained kathak dancer but vigorous training is all one needs to be perfect. After spending a decade in the Hindi film industry, Kareena finally bags a mujra number for Sriram Raghavan’s film, Agent Vinod opposite Saif Ali Khan. Many of Bollywood’s leading ladies like Meena Kumari, Madhubala, Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukerji and more have tried their hand at mujra. The song has been choreographed by Saroj Khan while Manish Malhotra designed her look for the song. According to sources from the set, the song was a recent addition to the film. Bebo who was dressed in bright red attire with loosely pinned hair for the song sequence had a tough time perfecting the steps but managed to pick it up after several rehearsals. In the end, Kareena had bruises on her hands and legs for the numerous floor movements and dance steps.
