Mohanlal’s ‘Casanovva’ to finally release on Republic Day
Casanovva is all set to be released this Thursday. The film unites Mohanlal and director Roshan Andrews for the third time after Udhyanaanu Thaaram and Ividam Swargamaan
Casanovva took almost three to reach the screens. The Mollywood film was announced on January 24, 2009, in Bangalore. After many delays, the shoot finally started in September 2010, with the release planned for February 2011. But the shooting got stalled multiple times. Finally, when the film was ready for a Christmas release, an indefinite strike pushed it further ahead. And now it is finally confirmed the Mohanlal starrer will be released on Republic Day. The buzzword is ‘hot’! Bollywood and cricket have joined hands to form a sizzling combination – Celebrity Cricket League 2012 calendar. Titled, ‘Girls of CCL-II’, the calendar was shot in Goa, Mumbai and at a resort near Golconda in Hyderabad. It showcases actors Priyamani, Shriya Saran, Bhavana, Sonakshi Sinha, Amala Paul, Charmee, Deeksha Seth, Genelia D’Souza, Kajal Aggarwal, Kangna Ranaut, Lakshmi Rai, Richa Gangopadhyay, Riya Sen, Sameera Reddy in bold avatars. Tamil director Selva is an angry man after watching Bollywood’s latest con flick Ladies vs Ricky Bahl starring Ranveer Singh and Ansuhka Sharma. The director, who is noted for films Amaravathi, Karna, Pooveli, Naanirunthal, Naan Avan Illai, feels that the Bollywood flick is based on the same premise – a playboy who cheats women – of his film, Naan Avan Illai . Salman Khan is on a roll with remakes, first Ready, Bodyguard and now if rumours are to be believed, the actor takes up Tamil film, Kanchana. Directed by Raghava Lawrence the Tamil horror comedy flick had Raghava, Sarathkumar and Lakshmi Rai in pivotal roles. The remake in Hindi will be directed by brother Sohail Khan in 3D version. According to sources, Salman has put all his other films on hold to begin the groundwork on Kanchana.
