Mona Kapoor, RIP: B-towners pray for her soul
Producer and mother of Ishaqzaade actor Arjun Kapoor lost her battle against cancer and her fellow B-towners are sad that she didn’t live to see her son’s debut film
It’s almost as if history is repeating itself in two different families. It happened to Sanjay Dutt and now it’s happening to Arjun Kapoor. Sanjay’s mother Nargis Dutt succumbed to cancer in 1981, a few days before Sanjay’s debut film Rocky was to hit the theatres. Mona Kapoor passes away
Mona Kapoor, mother of Ishaqzaade actor Arjun Kapoor, passed away earlier today (March 25). She had been suffering from cancer for several months now. She had been undergoing treatment at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai and even last week, her close ones had been hopeful that she would recover. Bollywood celebs took to Twitter to express their condolences. Karan Johar tweeted, “Mona kapoor was one of the most gracious,dignified and loving human beings i knew…she felt only positivity for one and all…RIP ma’m…” Ken Ghosh recalled a fond memory of his, “Will miss Mona Kapoor smile when I shoot at Future Studio next, always had eclairs on her table for guests. R.I.P Mona Kapoor”. Akshay Kumar posted, ”Extremely saddened to hear about the demise of Mona Kapoor, a very affectionate, supportive and positive human being. May God bless her soul and give strength to her family. RIP.”
