Shahrukh Khan finds a supporter in Raj Thackeray on Wankhede stadium ban!

The MNS chief feels Shahrukh should be allowed inside the Mumbai stadium to witness today’s IPL tie between MI and KKR

Shahrukh Khan might have been in the bad books of the late Balasaheb Thackeray, but the Shiv Sena chief’s rebellious nephew Raj Thackeray decided to support the actor in the Wankhede ban case. Raj, who heads the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), opined that the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA)’s five-year ban on SRK was uncalled for, saying that the actor is not a terrorist. He felt that the Bollywood superstar should be allowed inside the cricket ground for the IPL 2013 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) tonight. Click here to read more

Allow Shahrukh Khan for MI vs KKR IPL 2013 match at Wankhede Stadium, Maharashtra Congress requests MCA

After MCA’s letter requesting the Marine Lines police to make sure SRK stays away from the venue for tonight’s MI vs KKR game, here comes another twist in the tale

Shahrukh Khan comes with a full force comprising his friends and family to the stadiums to root for his team Kolkata Knight Riders. Tonight, SRK’s KKR will take on the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium for a crucial game in the ongoing IPL 2013. Shahrukh was banned from entering the venue for five years after his notorious scuffle with a security guard – allegedly for manhandling the superstar’s daughter Suhana and some of her friends – in the last edition of IPL. Shahrukh Khan’s Wankhede trouble refuses to die!

Just when we thought Shahrukh Khan had put his Wankhede Stadium controversy to rest after his team Kolkata Knight Riders won the Indian Premier League 5, newer troubles are coming to the fore. Now, lawyer-cum-activist Indrajeet Singh Bhatia has filed a private criminal complaint against SRK at a local court in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, for his alleged involvement in the fracas that occurred last month. Bhatia filed the case on Tuesday under section 200 of CrPc (examination of complainant) in the court of Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Sangeeta Tiwari. He has also levelled additional charges against him under sections 294 (obscene acts and songs), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 499 (defamation) of the Indian Penal Code. Admitting the complaint, the court posted the matter to July 9. This is not the first time a complaint has been registered against Shahrukh after he fought with the officials of the Mumbai Cricket Association on May 16. Immediately after the incident, the Mumbai Police had registered a complaint for a non-cognisable offence against Shahrukh and three others. And now Bhatia has drawn SRK into more legal tangles. We wonder how King Khan will react to this move.
