Dhanush’s ‘Kolaveri di’ crosses 10-million mark
Tamil star Dhanush’s song Why this kolaveri di has become a sleeper blockbuster by crossing 10,648,311 hits (at last count) since its release November 16 on YouTube. Composed by 18-year-old Anirudh Ravichander, the song with funny lyrics is sung in an unconventional manner by Dhanush himself. hte number will be a part of his next film 3, which is being directed by his wife Aishwarya – Rajinikanth’s elder daughter. The film stars Shruti Haasan in the lead. Seldom has any song created such a craze – from children to youngsters to celebrities, everyone is hooked on to the song. While Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan love it, Ram Gopal Varma is not sure whether he really likes it or not!

Just as news of Rajinikanth in a 3D film is doing the rounds, comes the rumour that the Superstar will do a special appearance in elder daughter Aishwarya’s directorial debut film 3. Yes, it’s the same film which has the song Why this kolaveri di, the latest sensation across the country. Aishwarya’s husband Dhanush stars in the lead in the film alongside Shruti Haasan. After Amitabh Bachchan, son Abhishek is also on to the Kolaveri trip. He likes the song Why this Kolaveri di so much that he has tweeted to the young music composer, Anirudh Ravichander. Abhishek, whose Twitter handle is @juniorbachchan, says, “hi anirudh. Just got ur handle. Kolaveri di is outstanding. Very well done!!! You just made me a huge fan. All the best. AB”. Anirudh (@anirudhravichan) has in turn thanked Jr Bachchan, saying, “Thank you so much sir! :) Im honored :)”. Amitabh Bachchan also had recently tweeted, “Just heard #Kolaveri after much talk on it … its so original and catchy ..congrats Dhanush and Aishwarya (Rajni’s daughter) .. love”. Looks like this 21-one-year-old lad is gonna go a long way!
