The gorgeous babe made it very clear in an interview recently that she wants to work with renowned Hollywood honchos…only!
In a jolly good mood, flipping the pages of our morning newspaper, we come across Mrs Khan’s statement and wonder what’s got into her. The queen of item numbers harbours a sudden desire to work with Pedro Almodovar and Woody Allen. While Almodovar, a Spanish director who’s made a mark in world cinema over the years and plays favourites with Penelope Cruz, and Allen, who’s famous for his deadpan humour, are obviously oblivious about this passionate fan, we doubt if they would even remotely oblige by giving her the role of her life. Amitabh Bachchan landed co-star in trouble by declaring an item song that featured Manoj Bajpayee. Media grilled Bajpayee endlessly over Sr Bachchan’s quip. What happened then?
Prakash Jha’s film Aarakshan had been in the news, mostly for all the wrong reasons, but this one really made us laugh. Tongue firmly in cheek, Mr Bachchan said that Manoj Bajpayee was doing an item song in the film and Bajpayee played along saying that he was the ‘item boy’. See if you can spot this item number in the movie on YouTube Boxoffice. Little did he know that the media will hound him endlessly to know all about his so-called ‘item number’. The Hollywood star might have another connection with B-town after Moulin Rouge!
It is not just Tom Cruise who has an India connection now (thanks to MI4). His ex-wife and Hollywood star Nicole Kidman is apparently a part of an upcoming Bollywood project directed by Rumi Jaffery. Reportedly, the Australia star has been approached by Jaffery to do a desi item number in his forthcoming film Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai. Bollywood is not new to Nicole. In her film Moulin Rouge, Anu Malik’s item song Chamma Chamma from China Gate had been used by director Baz Luhrmann with full credits. Kidman had also appeared in an ad with RA.One hottie Arjun Rampal and Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina Ali. Click here to read more
We wonder how Malaika aka Munni manages to impress us each time she steps out. She looks picture perfect in this blue backless outfit and we just can’t wait to watch her killer moves in Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2.
The actor is not very fascinated with the idea of being labelled as an item girl, but then what makes her opt for mindless dance numbers, which wethink are worse than item performances
She played the ultimate blonde in Rascals and grooved on some tacky songs that had abysmal lyrics. She didn’t mind putting on those ungraceful dancing shoes in Double Dhamaal either. We also witnessed her sashaying around from one spot to the other in the name of dancing in No Problem. Now we really fail to figure Ms Kangana’s condescending attitude towards item numbers. She is coming home – Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Bollywood’s dancing queen with the million dollar smile, who gave it all up for her Ram, is relocating to Mumbai. We take a look at what made her everyone’s favourite star
Though she made her debut in Abodh as Gauri in 1984, Madhuri Dixit took Bollywood by a storm with her Mohini act in Tezaab only a few years later. The ‘Ek do teen’ song became part of filmi folklore, long before Munni, Sheela or Razia were even thought of. It was not just her killer moves, but her endearing smile that ensured that she captured hearts; and she kept them all this while, despite the fact that she married her prince charming and chose to live an ordinary life in the United States.
