Nanban is the Tamil remake of the hit Hindi film 3 Idiots

Directed by S Shankar of Enthiran fame, Nanban stars Vijay, Ileana, Jeeva, Srikanth, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. The film is inspired by Chetan Bhagat’s book Five Point Someone which was adapted by Rajkumar Hirani in Hindi, with Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. Boman Irani also had a pivotal role in the film, which went to break all box office records. It was produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Nanban is slated to release on Pongal (Saturday, January 14) and is already being touted as the next blockbuster down south. Let’s see if it manages to impress the southern fans of 3 Idiots!
