Renowned music director of yesteryears, Ravi Shankar Sharma, popular called as ‘Ravi’ passed away in Mumbai late Wednesday night, according to family sources. He was 86 and had been ailing since some time when he breathed his last at his Santacruz residence. He is survived by his estranged son Ajay and daughter-in-law Varsha Usgaonkar, a leading Marathi and Hindi film actor. Ravi lost his wife in 1988, and hit the headlines when there was a family dispute over a property issue last year. Veena Malik lands into yet another controversy. This time it is with a Muslim body in India. The All India Muslim Tyohar (festival) Committee in Bhopal has issued a fatwa against Ms malik for going against the rules of ‘Nikaah’ and being a part of ‘Swayamvar’. “Islam has a certain procedure for a Nikaah. We do not have Swayamvar,” said Ausaf Shahmiri Khurram, chairman of the Majlis-e-Shura. He also hinted at Veena’s nude photographs on the Internet that have outraged the community. According to the Fatwa, Veena will be socially boycotted. What will be Veena Malik’s answer to this controversy? It is time to wait and watch.
