The late superstar’s film Riyasat will release on his 70th birth anniversary eve on December 28. Also, his last letter will be opened on that day

Rajesh Khanna’s ashes immersed in the Ganges
Late superstar Rajesh Khanna’s estranged wife Dimple Kapadia immersed his ashes in the river Ganges in Rishikesh on July 25. The couple’s younger daughter Rinke Khanna accompanied her mother to Dehradun and then Rishikesh for the ritual. Elder daughter Twinkle Khanna, who is married to actor Akshay Kumar, could not make it because she is pregnant with her second child. Dimple performed some Hindu rituals before submerging Rajesh’s remains in the holy river.

Aarav, son of Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar, lit Rajesh Khanna‘s pyre on Thursday, July 19 at the Vile Parle crematorium in Mumbai. “Aarav lit the pyre and Akshay Kumar (Rajesh Khanna’s son-in-law) assisted him,” the late superstar’s close friend Vijay Zaveri said.
