‘Satyamev Jayate’ theme song: watch video

Aamir Khan’s TV show Satyamev Jayate will have one special song for each episode

Aamir Khan revealed the title song of his first TV show, Satyamev Jayate, at a star hotel in Mumbai on Friday, April 13. But the actor refuses to call it a title song, or a music video. “It’s a romantic song, or a love song for the country,” said Aamir. And that was his brief for the composer Ram Sampath (of Delhi Belly fame) and one of his fave lyricists, adman Prasoon Joshi. Aamir is overwhelmed with what they came up with, and how the love for the nation was translated on in the form of visuals by ad filmmaker Ram Madhvani who had collaborated with Aamir on Taare Zameen Par. We loved the song and the video. Watch it and tell us if you like it, ‘cos there’s more coming – each of the 13 episodes of Saytamev Jayate will have a different song. So have fun! Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy booted out of Dharma Productions?

While DK Bose composer Ram Sampath replaced S-E-L in Excel Entertainment, we now hear that the music composer duo Ajay-Atul has replaced the trio in Agneepath

We had seen this coming, especially after we heard the disappointing soundtrack of Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan, but this soon? No! For a very long time, S-E-L have saved their best tunes for their two most favourite production houses: Farhan Ahtar’s Excel Entertainment and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. But unfortunately they have been replaced by others in both companies. Click here to read more

Will Aamir do ‘Dhoom 3′? And with which co-star?

We don’t know who the villain’s lady will be yet. But the question is, will the villain change by the time the film gets made?

A little birdie just rushed in with some interesting news – apparently Aamir Khan’s schedule is full and the star is concentrating on his new project. No, it’s not Dhoom:3, where he plays a baddie gymnast, but the new game show that he plans to host, which features short films and documentaries as part of its theme. Aamir has roped in Ram Sampath, the music man from Delhi Belly, to come up with a new score for some segments of the show, while he himself will – in typical Aamir style – be hands-on for the edits and final cuts. And since it is a first for the Khan, expect an OCD level of involvement! Click here to read more
