There was a pall of gloom and a feeling of dread in Bollywood when news of the 92-year-old veteran actor Pran’s hospitalisation filtered in. But we can breathe a sigh of relief, at least for now. Veteran film and stage actor AK Hangal, who passed away in Mumbai on August 26, 2012, was cremated at 1pm the same afternoon at the Vile Parle crematorium. His son Vijay performed the last rites. “I am sad at my father’s demise. But what can one say, one has to go,” said Vijay. Amitabh Bachchan wrote on Twitter, “AK Hangal, passes away this morning!!
