Despite the fact that the Indo-Canadian stand-up comedian Russell Peters is working in Akshay Kumar’s production Speedy Singhs, he is very vocal about his dislike for Bollywood. He said in a recent interview, ”I hate Bollywood. The movies are all garbage, just terrible. It’s my opinion, obviously there are billions who like and love them. I don’t like all the singing, dancing and the dramatic crying. I have never seen a Bollywood film in my life. I have refused to do them earlier and will do so in future. But I hope some filmmakers take a chance to make real movies.” We would like to hear from the Khiladi Kumar about his take on Peter’s hatred.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Speedy Singhs’ to star Russell Peters
Celebrated Canadian-Indian stand-up comedian Russell Peters is making his Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar’s Speedy Singhs. He will be in town to promote the film next week. The funnyman has previously performed to packed shows in the city thrice, between 2006 and 2008. He recently hosted The Gemini Awards, and is gearing up for a US tour in November. Peters will perform at the Comedy Store on September 18. Let’s see if Bollywood is ready for Peter’s quirky sense of humour.
