Bollywood actor Ayesha Takia was born on April 10, 1986 in Mumbai to a Gujarati father and a Maharashtrian-British mother. Starting out as a child artiste working in ads and anchoring children’s TV shows where her beauty first came to the fore, Ayesha went on to star in music videos of Falguni Pathak and DJ Aqeel that made her a household name. Bollywood was not far away. She made her debut in Tarzan: The Wonder Car opposite Vatsal Seth in 2004. It fetched her a Filmfare Best Debut award as well as the IIFA award for Best Debut Female. Two more films of Ayesha released the same year – Dil Maange More with Shahid Kapoor and the Imtiaz Ali-directed Socha Tha Na opposite Abhay Deol. Click here to read more
