Two months after his surgery, mega-star Amitabh Bachchan is ill again and suffering from excruciating pain since past couple of days. He is likely to undergo a CT scan at the Seven Hills Hospital, Andheri East, on Tuesday, where he had been operated almost two months ago. “Last night…I rose from my desk to get to bed, but excruciating pain, stopped me in my tracks and I found it difficult to walk, to stand, to sit, to lie down. Quite horrendous!” he said in a late night blog entry.
While a pain killer managed to save the day, Bachchan attempted to bear with the discomfort for as long as he could. He admitted that the pain was not there post-operation and he was confounded about the reasons as it recurred two months after the surgery. “I have no answer. But tomorrow (Tuesday), there should be one as I prepare for a CT scan after devouring a large bottle or bottles of that yellow fluid…” he said. Cause of the abdominal pain when the CT scan will be conducted were not immediately known.Click here to read more

Amitabh Bachchan has been itching to get back to work post surgery, and he will soon begin shooting for Kaun Banega Crorepati’s new season. The show’s producer Siddhartha Basu confirmed this news to a daily, saying the actor will begin with shooting promos first. Bachchan was well received in KBC 5, winning hearts of viewers all over again and has a contract to do one more season of the popular quiz show. Amitabh Bachchan, who is recuperating at home after abdominal surgeries, is enjoying a “no time-table” life. Apart from doing other things, he watched Oscar-winning film The Artist and said it was a “delight” to view the silent black and white French movie. “Being by myself and almost in solitary confinement, is getting contagious. I am beginning to rather like this state. Nowhere to go, nothing obligatory to perform, random timings and the liberty to do what I desire. I eat whenever, sleep whenever, watch a movie whenever and happy doing so,” Big B posted on his blog.
He added: “I watched a lovely film ‘The Artist’ via the UFO set up in the house and it was a delight to see a black and white, silent movie in February of 2012!! In an age when color and music and speech and sound play such an important role in cinema today, it was most innovative on the part of the makers to present something like this. Amitabh Bachchan discharged from hospital
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was discharged from the Seven Hills Hospital late Thursday after a 12-day stay post two abdominal surgeries. He was discharged at 9.30 pm and was accompanied home by his wife Jaya Bachchan.
The 69-year-old actor, who was admitted to the hospital February 11, was kept under observation following complaints of pain post the surgeries. He was feeling restricted in his movements but kept his fans updated about his activities and progress through social networking mediums. On Wednesday night, the veteran star shared his excitement over his freedom from tubes and needles. Tabu visits Amitabh Bachchan in hospital
Amitabh Bachchan says he loved spending time with his Cheeni Kum co-star Tabu when she visited him at the Seven Hills Hospital, where he has been under observation since the past 12 days. “The wonderful Tabu visited today and spent sizeable time, talking of many connected and unconnected issues. Of film and nature, of quality and appreciation and, of course, her own considerations on the kind of films she wanted to be associated with,” Amitabh posted on his blog Wednesday night. “A joy always to be with her,” he added.

Amitabh Bachchan: Full recovery to take months
The actor who was operated upon recently says he will be discharged soon, but will convalesce at home
Amitabh Bachchan says that despite his improving condition he might have to stay at the Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai for a few more days. However, his full recovery could even take months, says the megastar. “Looks like a few more days then before they set me free… but recovery at home will be another few months,” Big B, who was expected to be discharged from the hospital by Wednesday, posted on his Twitter page.
