Mammootty’s ‘Pokkiri Raja’ to be dubbed in Tamil

Mollywood superstar Mammootty’s Pokkiri Raja, which was released in 2010 is being readied for release in Tamil. The dubbed version of the masala flick, packed with songs and fight sequences, will hit screens soon. The mega-star cast of Pokkiri Raja includes Mammootty, Prithviraj and Shriya Saran.
The Tamil version of the movie will be titled Raaja Pokkiri Raja. The south flick saw Mammootty and Prithviraj as brothers. The music of the film was composed by Jassie Gift. Pokkiri Raja earned Rs18 crores from theatre collections alone. Looks like the dubbed version will be a money-spinner too, especially given the fan following Mammootty and Prithviraj enjoy among Tamil film fans.Click here to read more

Anna Hazare watches ‘Gali Gali Chor Hai’ with Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran and Mugdha Godse

Social activist Anna Hazare is happy that the Akshay Khanna film supports his movement against corruption

Around 2,000 villagers gathered at Ralegan Siddhi to watch the special screening of Rumi Jaffrey’s Gali Gali Chor Hai along with social activist Anna Hazare and actors Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, Mugdha Godse and Annu Kapoor. The movie was screened for Hazare and his villagers on a specially created LED wall screen in an open auditorium. Hazare greeted and welcomed the cast of the film and praised them for their effort. He also watched the whole film and appreciated it.”It supports my message and movement. Every youth, every child, people of all age in India should watch this film as it motivates the depth of being a common man and it motivates every individual to be a good citizen and have a corruption-free country. Mohanlal’s ‘Casanovva’ to finally release on Republic Day

Casanovva is all set to be released this Thursday. The film unites Mohanlal and director Roshan Andrews for the third time after Udhyanaanu Thaaram and Ividam Swargamaan

Casanovva took almost three to reach the screens. The Mollywood film was announced on January 24, 2009, in Bangalore. After many delays, the shoot finally started in September 2010, with the release planned for February 2011. But the shooting got stalled multiple times. Finally, when the film was ready for a Christmas release, an indefinite strike pushed it further ahead. And now it is finally confirmed the Mohanlal starrer will be released on Republic Day.
