Well, we always knew it, but now the star has actually come out and admitted it in public
Sometimes Bollywood is a very strange world to watch. Relationships happen and dissolve, people fall in and out of love, bonds are made and broken, but it takes a lot for the folks concerned to come out and say so. Some are brave –remember how Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor walked into a do holding hands and looking very Hollywood? And others, like so many that we could name if we were really being indiscreet, prefer to be very hush hush and chupa rustom about the love-shove-stuff, though why, we have no idea. We have been hearing stories about Vidya Balan refusing roles one after the other. What’s going on in this ‘dirty’ actor’s mind?
Vidya Balan has recently developed a wicked knack of refusing movies. It all began with Ram Gopal Varma’s Shaque – the role Vidya was offered in that was first refused by Sridevi and then by Shahana Goswami. That might have had more to do with Ramu’s reputation than with any of Vidya’s nakhras, no? Next, she turned down the role of a witch in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Daayan. After all, she plays a pivotal role in Vidya’s success by being the producer of The Dirty Picture. But guess what, Vidya has turned down the offer to act in Ekta’s Shootout at Wadala too! Cheap thrills or guilty pleasures, whatever you call it, but we think Ms Balan is back to her childhood days. There are celebs who resort to pretty serious measures (and expressions!) in trying to signal the media to stay away and stop taking their photographs. The Dirty Picture actor has her priorities neatly laid out. And while her contemporaries are pretty gung-ho about tying the knot, Vidya would rather spend some more time with the movies
Vidya Balan, the leading lady of Kahaani doesn’t mind getting hitched, but it’s certainly not on her priority list. “My career is going good. Emotionally and mentally I am in a very happy space, by God’s grace. I am not thinking about marriage now, but I’m sure there’s a right time for it. I believe in the institution of marriage. I won’t ignore it for a long, but yeah, for now I am keeping it aside. I will definitely get married,” said Vidya, who is apparently dating Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO of UTV Motion Pictures. So, what is it that’s keeping Vidya from saying ‘I do’? Click here to read more
