Shammi Kapoor ashes immersed in Jhelum river

The Yahoo actor Shammi Kapoor passed away last month, on August 14, at the age of 79. Today, his ashes were immersed in the rover Jhelum, in the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir,  where many of his best known films were shot. According to his son, Aditya Raj Kapoor, “We have immersed his ashes in the river Jhelum that flows in Pakistan also. He romanced with Kashmir.” His family was present – his daughter Kanchan and Aditya’s wife Preeti – as were a few close friends – Asha Parekh, Vinod Khanna, Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Amitabh Bachchan and others. After the solemn ceremony, the family took a shikara ride on Dal Lake (remember Kashmir ki Kali and Tareef karun kya uski?) and planted a sapling at the Lalit Hotel, where Shammi Kapoor usually stayed.

Arjun’s ‘Maasi’ lands in trouble

Producers of Idhudhanda Police- 2 claim only they have the rights to remake Bollywood movie Risk
